I just want to say thanks to Cornerstone Home Health for taking good care of my mom. I know health care is hard right now, but they have compassion and love the elderly. I also wanted Cornerstone to know that I’m always glad to see Dusty when she comes because she works hard and has a big heart for the elderly. My husband spent September through December of 2025 in the hospital, rehab center, nursing home and back to the hospital before being discharged home December 31. He and and his family were happy about his discharge. However, New Years Eve Day is not a great day to get needed supplies and help for his return home. The first agency I hired charged me 1400 dollars for less than ten days of service at two hours each day. The aid was paid ten dollars an hour and the agency kept the rest. The second agency had one aid available at 2:00 PM for two hour and insisted I had to use her. I needed someone an hour in the AM to help get him started for the day and an hour in the PM to help settle him for bedtime. Finally someone directed me to Cornerstone and they have been wonderful. They sent us an aid named Melinda; she works from 8-9AM and 5-6PM. She checks his blood sugar, oxygen level, blood pressure, bathing, dressing, feeds his peg tube, and helps him to his recliner. I am 76 years old. Miguel and the helper he provided were like a life raft in the storm of confusion that followed my sudden injury. I did not know precisely what I needed, what help I could get from insurance, etc. Finally I contacted Cornerstone. My needs varied daily for 10 days after my shoulder injury and then for 2 weeks after my shoulder surgery. Miguel was quick to respond to my texts and quick to provide help as I discovered what I needed. Cornerstone provided compassionate flexibility. Exactly what I needed. We learned of Cornerstone from Rio Grande Regional Hospital. We needed someone to bathe our father, who has dementia. Angel, CNA, has bathed my father 3 times.
