We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Billing Manager to lead our remote bookkeeping team and oversee all aspects of our billing and receipting operations. This position plays a key leadership role, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity in our invoicing processes across four distinct billing cycles. With over 325 offices in 43 states, the Billing Manager will serve as the go-to resource for conflict resolution and billing process optimization, working closely with our field-based Operating Directors.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee Four Billing Cycles: Ensure smooth execution of weekly invoicing, billing cycles, client billing, and month-end processes.
- Team Leadership: Manage and support the bookkeeping team responsible for:
- Invoice generation and processing
- Applying payments to client accounts
- Bank account reconciliations
- Managing and resolving aged accounts receivable
- Conflict Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for billing disputes and escalations from Operating Directors across 325+ offices.
- Reconciliation Oversight: Ensure timely and accurate month-end and bank reconciliations.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and refine billing workflows for efficiency and scalability.
- Reporting & Compliance: Monitor billing KPIs and compliance with financial controls and internal policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
- Management, Training, and Supervisory Experience
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and billing operations
- Demonstrated experience managing remote teams of 5+
- Proven conflict resolution and cross-functional communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Experience with multi-cycle billing processes and financial systems preferred
