Credentialing Specialist
Job Summary
The Regional Credentialing Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the licensure and credentialing processes within their designated region. This role involves tracking and completing license renewals and modifications, updating policies, conducting licensure calls, assisting with initial license applications, performing audits, providing compliance support, assisting during state surveys, and researching state regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Track and complete license renewals and modifications for their region (e.g., address changes, administrative updates).
- Update policies as needed.
- Conduct licensure week calls for assigned locations.
- Assist the Director of Licensure with initial license applications.
- Perform quarterly audits of client and caregiver files at locations (1-2 files per location).
- Provide ongoing compliance support for locations.
- Assist in navigating and locating items during state surveys.
- Help the OD in planning and creating a Plan of Correction after surveys.
- Learn/research state regulations for their specified states.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in licensure, credentialing, or compliance within the healthcare industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
