Financial Systems Manager
Job Summary
As our Financial Systems Manager you will oversee the administration, optimization, and integration of financial systems within our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, the revenue life cycle, payroll processing, and financial close cycles. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and financial acumen, with proven leadership and management experience to drive process improvements and system enhancements.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee the administration, configuration, and optimization of financial systems, including accounting software, billing and scheduling platforms, payroll, time & attendance, and reporting tools.
- Ensure the seamless integration of financial systems with other business applications.
- Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to support system upgrades and new implementations.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close cycles efficiently, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations and accuracy in wage calculations.
- Ensure accuracy in reconciliations and journal entries, aligning with GAAP and internal controls.
- Maintain financial data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement system enhancements to improve financial workflows, reporting accuracy, and automation.
- Optimize financial data reporting and analytics to support decision-making.
- Work closely with stakeholders to refine processes, reducing inefficiencies and manual work.
- Provide technical support to finance teams, resolving system issues and ensuring smooth operation.
- Train employees on best practices for financial software and reporting tools.
- Act as the liaison between the organization and software vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Work with Operations and Finance teams to align financial systems with business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial systems management, ERP administration, or finance technology roles.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and the revenue life cycle.
- Experience managing financial close cycles and payroll processing.
- Proficiency with financial reporting tools and data analytics platforms.
- Experience with system implementations, integrations, and process automation.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to collaborate across departments
