Schedule & Compensation

Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Part-Time)

Location: Various client homes across Wayne and Holmes Counties, OH

Pay: Competitive compensation based on experience ($16.00 – $22.50/hr)

What You’ll Be Doing (Comprehensive Responsibilities & Skills)
This role requires a confident professional who is highly comfortable providing total physical assistance, memory care, and evening home management. Duties include:

Evening Personal Care & Hygiene: Providing full assistance with evening Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing for bed, toileting, and total incontinence care.

Advanced Mobility & Safe Transfers: Executing safe mobility techniques in and around the house, especially during the transition to bed. Must be proficient with gait belts, pivot transfers, slide boards, bed mobility, and mechanical lifts (Hoyer lift, sit-to-stand lift).

Memory Care & Sundowning Support: Navigating the specific needs of clients with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, particularly managing “sundowning” behaviors by utilizing calm communication, redirection, and establishing a soothing evening routine.

Health & Wellness Support: Administering accurate, timely evening medication reminders and monitoring overall client well-being.

Dinner Preparation & Home Management: Planning and preparing a wholesome dinner and evening snacks catered to the client’s needs, and completing light evening housekeeping (laundry, sweeping, kitchen cleanup) to ensure a safe, tidy environment for the night.

Engaging Companionship: Offering active, empathetic companionship and participating in wind-down activities that maintain the client’s safety, dignity, and peace of mind.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 1+ year of caregiving experience required (experience with full hands-on care, memory care, and safe transfers is highly preferred).

Skills: Superior interpersonal and effective communication skills, alongside unwavering patience.

Logistics: Must possess a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, active auto insurance, and the willingness to travel within Wayne and Holmes counties.

Clearances: Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
