Senior Bookkeeper – Billing Team Lead
Job Summary
As a Senior Bookkeeper-Team Lead, you will join an established team to manage your own set of location financials. You will manage, supervise, and train the remote bookkeepers that report to you. Daily, you will record all financial transactions, including cash payments, into the correct general ledger and verify that they are accurate in addition to maintaining all financial records, processing payroll, managing an open line of communication with the operating director for the locations in which you are assigned to. Our ideal candidate has at least two years of experience as a professional bookkeeper and has experience managing a team and training new team members.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise, train, and manage remote bookkeeper team
- Review financial transactions for accuracy and input transactions into the correct ledger
- Reconcile bank and other accounts
- Pay vendors as they come due
- Make deposits and record all cash receipts
- Work through aged accounts receivables
- Handling journal entries and reviewing payroll notes
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent, degree in relevant field preferred
- Management, Training, and Supervisory Experience
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office
- Processing weekly invoices, billing cycles, month end reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and billing/invoicing to clients
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to clear required background check
