Bookkeeper
Job Summary
As a Bookkeeper, you will join an established team to manage your own set of location financials. On a daily basis, you will record all financial transactions, including cash payments, into the correct general ledger and verify that they are accurate. You will also be responsible for maintaining all financial records, processing payroll, managing an open line of communication with the operating director for the locations in which you are assigned to. Our ideal candidate has at least two years of experience as a professional bookkeeper and in both payroll and billing.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Process company payroll and weekly invoices as a primary role in this position
- Review financial transactions for accuracy and input transactions into the correct ledger
- Reconcile bank and other accounts
- Pay vendors as they come due
- Make deposits and record all cash receipts
- Wage Garnishments, adjustments, etc.
- Work through aged accounts receivables
- Mileage bill outs and send payments to bank
- Handling journal entries, reviewing payroll notes, 941, unemployment data verification
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent, degree in relevant field preferred
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to clear required background check
