I have been in healthcare over 15 years. I am extremely passionate about giving back and helping others. I previously worked in the diabetes space however after becoming part of the “sandwich” generation and caring for my own parents, I saw what a lack of resources and help there is. I wanted to be able to help seniors like my parents, and families like my own. Take some of the stress away and give a friendly face and helping hand when they need it.
I have lived in Land O Lakes since 2014. We moved here from Tennessee after losing our oldest daughter in a car wreck. I had Amelia’s Law passed in her name and then needed to move somewhere new. I fiercely advocate for multiple causes such as MADD, Type 1 Diabetes JDRF, and geriatric care here in our local area. I would never work somewhere that I wasn’t passionate about the work I am doing. We spend so much of our lives at work, we might as well be doing something we love!
I understand grief. I understand being the caretaker of your elderly family members. I have seen the stress it causes them when they aren’t able to do what they need to anymore. I would not send anyone to take care of you or your loved one that I would not have in my own home. I believe we all deserve to have the care we need and for that care to be provided with respect, dignity and compassion .
